Call for Speakers & Artists

Be part of  global conversations advancing individual, collective, and ecological wellbeing through art, healing, and connection.

Submissions are welcome through Friday, July 31, 2026, 11:59PM EST. 

Hearth Summit Detroit is accepting proposals Wayne County based speakers and artists whose work is based in Wayne County or deeply connected to the communities.
 

While priority will be given to Wayne County based applicants, applicants outside Wayne are welcome to apply if their lived experience or work has a clear and meaningful connection to the communities.

Proposal Formats

Applicants may submit proposals in formats such as:

• Healing Centered Experiences
• Storytelling Sessions
• Community Conversations

• Movement or Somatic Experiences
• Guided Reflection Spaces
• Poetry, Music, or Multimedia Presentations

Speaker & Artist Agreement Deadline: August 21, 2026

Evaluation Criteria

The Hearth Summit Detroit review team will evaluate all proposals using the following criteria to support a thoughtful, balanced, and community rooted summit experience.

  • Purpose: Does the proposal communicate a clear intention and contribution to the summit experience?

  • Audience Relevance: Will the session resonate with and provide value to summit participants?

  • Engagement: Does the proposal encourage reflection, participation, dialogue, or connection?

  • Timeliness & Relevance: Does the topic contribute to current and meaningful conversations connected to wellbeing, healing, and community?

  • Practicality: Is the session format, structure, and delivery realistic and well developed?

  • Theme Alignment: Does the proposal align with the vision, themes, and values of Hearth Summit Detroit?

Speaker & Artist Participation Guidelines

All speakers, artists, facilitators, and contributors selected for Hearth Summit Detroit must agree to the following:

​

• I understand that participation in Hearth Summit Detroit is unpaid unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the Hearth Summit Detroit team.

​

• I understand that I am responsible for my own travel, lodging, transportation, technology, materials, and related participation expenses unless otherwise communicated by the summit team.

​

• I agree to uphold the values, community agreements, and code of conduct established by Hearth Summit Detroit to help foster a respectful, inclusive, and community centered environment.

​

• I understand that submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance into the summit program.

​

• I agree to provide all requested presentation materials, speaker information, headshots, biographies, and related assets by the deadlines communicated by the summit team.

​

• I understand that sessions may be photographed, recorded, or documented for promotional, archival, educational, or marketing purposes connected to Hearth Summit Detroit.

​

• I understand that I am responsible for bringing any materials, technology, props, instruments, presentation files, or resources needed for my session unless otherwise coordinated in advance.

​

• I agree to communicate any accessibility, space, technical, or presentation needs prior to the summit to support planning and coordination.
